Just keeping focus on important activities, processes and outcomes is beneficial.

Attention and intention matter; and even if you spend 5 minutes on something important, but do it rigorously every day, the proverbial steps add up quickly towards the destination.

I like using the Streaks app to help with this.  (I use the iOS version.). The Streaks app is very flexible, and it has a good clean look and feel.  Importantly, it doesn’t share any of your data for tracking or monetization purposes.

I’m not a big app user overall.  And I’ve been modulating my phone usage a lot more in the past few years, so there aren’t too many apps outside of mail, news, and notes that I use.

I appreciate that Streaks provides a little nudge to remind myself to give at least a moment of attention to a few important things every day.

I also remind myself that it’s what you do the majority of the time that matters.  If you eat a few potato chips when you “shouldn’t have,” it’s ok, as long as it’s an exception.  If I’m forgetful, or I slip up, or I run out of time, I try to gently bring myself back to the attention and intention that were why I started the activity, process or outcome to begin with.  I remember what my hope for it was and that by remembering, I am helping bring it into being.
